Sony a pioneer in the field of high definition technology recently announced the latest HDR-SR10 hard drive camcorder. The latest model built on AVCHD™ technology was exhibited at the CES 2008.

The HDR-SR10 comes with a comparatively less 40 GB storage capacity. Still, it manages to offer the users an extremely long continuous recording time (1920 mode) of nearly 15, seven and five hours, respectively.

Great to know that along with the built in HDDs the camcorder lets the users do hybrid movie recording on optional Memory Stick PRO Duo™ media cards. For registering detailed images, the Camcorder comes with a face detection technology.

Priced at $1,000, the Sony HDR-SR10 hard drive camcorder will be available for sale in March.
