Sony HDR-SR8 AVCHD HDD Camcorder
Sony has recently announced its new model in the range of hi-tech camcorders, HDR-SR8. Quiet identical to SR7 this camcorder can record up to 1080i footage in the AVCHD format. It includes a 10x optical zoom, 2.7 inch widescreen and also supports 6.1 Mega pixel stills. This ultra compact stylish model offers up to an incredible 100GB hard drive and can record 13.5 hours on the highest quality mode and up to 38 hours on low quality mode.
The Sony HDR SR8 model uses the AVCHD format to capture HD 1080 images for unbelievable detail and vibrant colors. The Clear Vid CMOS sensor with Enhanced Imaging Processor offers dynamic range and reduced smear when compared to conventional CCD sensors. Exceptional sensitivity with a minimum illumination of only 2 lux it allows successful shooting in twilight or dimly-lit interiors.
With this camcorder high-quality still images up to 6.1 Mega pixels can also be captured. In Dual Recording mode, 4.6 Mega pixel still images can be shot without interrupting video shooting.
