Sony Electronics, largest producer of electronic goods around the globe, recently announced it new camcorder model HVR-Z7U (handheld) including features like interchangeable lens systems, native progressive recording, augmented sensitivity for less light situation, hybrid solid-state recording etc.

The smart new camcorder use Sony’s 1/3-inch 3 ClearVid CMOS Sensor technology which is improved by Exmor technology. Other than this the user has the extra suppleness to connect different lenses though for better results HVR-Z7U camcorder comes standard with a 12x high-quality, versatile Carl Zeiss lens for HD video, with a Vario-Sonnar T coating to lessen reflections.

The camcorder has also got incorporated features like auto-focus, optical stabilizer, and automatic back-focus adjustment. This unit captures the HDV1080i, DVCAM, or DV stream output from the camcorder and can record HDV/DVCAM/DV files to a standard Compact Flash® solid-state memory card, while users are at the same time recording to tape. The HVR-Z7U can give the users with more than 60 minutes of recording time on miniDV videotapes, other than this, approximate recording times in Sony’s Digital Master™ cassettes is of 63 minutes.

The new Camcorder would be available in the store shelves in the month of February, at the suggested list pricing of $6,850. Although the buyers would decide the fate of this camcorder in the coming year but to me this highly featured camcorder seems to be worth the price being quoted isn’t it?
