Another camcorder to create a buzz at the CES 2007 was the Sony HDR-UX7, which is a professional quality high definition camcorder. The Sony HDR-UX7 is outfitted with a three megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor which helps in producing stunning 1080i HD video quality, as well as six-megapixel digital still photos.

Looks like Sony has covered their bases well and the UX7 also has a Super SteadyShot optical image stabilization. This means that one needn't worry about photography nightmares like image blur and camera shake and the stabilizer kicks in during still as well as video recording.

The Sony HDR-UX7 also uses the x.v.Color technology, which supports a much wider data range of colors compared to the conventional sRGB standard. In fact the National Physical Laboratory in the United Kingdom believes that the x.v.Color technology range is closer to colors that the human eye can recognize. the on board ClearVid CMOS sensor , lets you record in in slow motion and dual record modes. You can record slow motion videos by playing back short video clips at 240 frames per second.

Another nifty feature found on the Camcorder is Voice Memo Function which playbacks video clips with audio and the present dual record mode lets one shoot video in tandem with capturing 4.6 megapixel digital still pictures. The u users can directly record their footage on blank 3" DVDs and HD content recorded on DVDs can also be played back on select Blue-ray devices, including the PS3. The HDR-UX7 will be available in stores in March at the retail price of $1,300.
