Sony’s New Cybershots Are Packing 3D Capability
Apparently, Sony is gearing up to impress us all with their latest offerings, fresh off of the Cyber-shot series. The company is presenting three new cameras known as the T99, WX5 and TX9, which are designed with 3D capability. These digital cameras also have BIONZ processors and 32MB internal memory. However, each device has a unique set of specifications to offer you as well.
If you’re into reliable, water-resistant cameras, then you might like the T99. It’s designed to capture sweep panorama images in 720p HD video at 30fps while submerged below the water. But if you want a water-proof camera with even better features, try the TX9. This device sports full HD 1080i video recording, a Sweep Multi Angle for 3D-like images and the 3D sweep panorama. Furthermore, the TX9 gives you a “background defocus” option, providing the DSLR-like effect of clear, foreground photos with a blurry background. Meanwhile, the WX5 comes with 5x optical zoom, Sony G lens and the same 3D abilities of the TX9 although it lacks protection against water damage.
Nonetheless, these new line of Cybershot cameras also carry TransferJet capacity, according to Akihabara News. AV Watch also reported on the Sony cameras, presenting some expected prices for these devices in Japan although official price information isn’t currently available. The WX5 at a price of 35,000 yen ($400), the TX9 for 45,000 yen ($512) and the T99 for a cost of 29,000 yen ($330), apparently being the cheapest of the three cameras. Thus, they are scheduled for upcoming release in mid-September.
