Sony’s NEX-VG10 Exmor: A Pretty Expensive Camcorder But Is It Worth The Price?
Recently, Sony unveiled its newest camcorder called the NEX-VG10 Exmor. This device is an interchangeable-lens camcorder with 1080p capability. However, Sony slapped a $2,000 price tag on this one. So, you really have to wonder if it’s actually worth such a high cost considering the other brands out there with cheaper camcorders available. According to CrunchGear, this Sony camcorder can’t do full-frame work, which you might find disappointing as well.
Nonetheless, the NEX-VG10 Exmor does carry some specifications that may be worth your time. It features silent and quick auto focus for recording videos, built-in accessory shoe for a mic and a compact lens system with E-mount lenses. Thus, this Sony camcorder certainly has something to offer but you still have to ask yourself if it really is worth the $2,000 you’d have to spend to make it yours. With that kind of money, you might be better off investing in a few, less-expensive camcorders with some of the features as this one.
