St. Cloud, Florida, Turns To Axis Cameras For Safety

The city of St. Cloud in Florida has recently inked a deal with Axis Communications for a series of network cameras to replace its analog systems, and use them in their water treatment and wastewater treatment plants to help improve safety at the plants.

The deal called for a set of AXIS 233D Network PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom), AXIS 221 Fixed Network and AXIS 223 Network Megapixel Fixed Cameras to be installed at various locations throughout the plants.  They went with Axis because of Axis’ higher video quality and better reliability, and they’re meaning to use them for monitoring hazardous chemical deliveries, checking water levels, reading metering equipment and guarding against intruders in the plant.

It’s a pretty good idea, and AXIS is a solid brand of hardware.  Hopefully this will turn out well for St. Cloud, who should be expecting many years of good use out of the Axis brand.
