Do you want to get your hands on some easy cash? Called the Handies Video Contest, if you are lucky, you can win big and take home $5,000. All you have to do is enter a video contest about hand safety in the workplace, something that shouldn’t be hard to create especially for people familiar with the corporate setting.

The hands are one part of the body that has been overlooked. While many choose to ignore it, their constant use in the workplace may have several issues and normally, the need to remind people on their importance is a need.

Despite efforts to increase awareness about the importance of taking care of them, approximately one-quarter of lost-time work injuries involve the hand because workers aren’t wearing their gloves when they get injured.

You can enter the Handies Video Contest at the Superior Glove website. Video submissions must be under three minutes long, and the contest is open to Canadian and U.S residents with no entry fee, a limit of three entries per person and a deadline of Oct. 5th 2009. The top five videos selected will be presented for viewing in Orlando, Florida, on Oct. 25th, 2009, at the National Safety Congress 2009 .
