The SenseCam is an interesting camera concept that is finally heading to production. How does the camera work you ask? Well, the SenseCam is worn around the neck and it will take pictures only when it senses movement or it spots a person standing in front of you. The camera will be sold as the Vicon Revue at some point in 2010 when the commercial version of the SenseCam will be available.

The camera will offer you 1GB of storage space which is good enough for about 30,000 low-resolution pictures.

The camera, developed by Microsoft Research, can be used for recording your everyday’s activities but it has also shown some potential when used with Alzheimer’s patients in order to develop long-term memory. The initial price of the camera was around $815 but the commercial version will be a lot cheaper when it hits the stores.
