Cameras Reflecting Need For Bargains

It’s no surprise that everybody and his mother is looking for a deal these days.  With the economy still in a death pattern, and cash in short supply, everyone’s wanting to save that extra dollar on the things they want.

So it’s not surprising to see that, almost as a matter of policy, camera prices are dropping in a move to reflect the modern economic climate.  And it’s not just that prices are dropping, either–they’re packing in more features, or giving cameras the look and feel of fashion accessories to help haul in the buyers.

Purists, of course, are likely to be upset by this move, but that’s sadly not new.  I’m actually quite okay with the idea of expanding the market to other people.  After all, anything that gets them more cash and thus allows the price of everything else to come down and let us get our hands on sweet hardware for cheap.

Well, at least, cheaper than normal.  And that’s saying something.
