Canon may yet offer another marquee feature for its line of cameras if this filed patent, the in-camera HDR, gets approval. The patent seems to show how one can do image altering at pixel levels and stands to be a new cool feature for their next line of cameras soon.

Seems that not too long ago, Kodak filed suits against both Samsung and LG alleging patent violations, specifically relating to the cameras found in both companies' line of mobile phones. LG decided to settle fairly quickly. Samsung, on the other hand, fought back...at least for a while.
