Sony Officially Unveils Alpha A850, A550 and A500 Cameras

After days of speculations and leaked news, Sony finally creates some noise with regards to its new set of Alpha DSLR cameras. Sony officially let the cat out of the bag when it officially introduced the Sony Alpha A850, A550 and A500 DSLR cameras holding true to rumors that we were all hearing from various sources.

All new models have their share of highlighted features. Like for the Sony Alpha A850, it is a slight dip from the popular A900. It boasts of the same 24.6 megapixel sensor retailing for about $2000.

For the other two, the A550 and the A500 practically complete the Alpha line of cameras, featuring 14.2 and 14.3 megapixel sensors respectively. The Sony’s Alpha line of cameras comes with tilt-out LCDs with a high resolution. The A550 retails for about $950 while the A500 costs about $750. Add $100 for both and you get them with a kit lens. None of the three cameras have video recording capabilities.
