The Newsight photo frame allows for 3D images



Sure, we’ve covered digital photo frames here before, but this one is in 3D!

This one from Newsight showed up at SID 2010, and it does require any 3D goggles to get the 3D effect. It uses auto-stereoscopic technology and also “motion parallax”, to take an ordinary image to create five separate images of it for the frame.

We don’t have a release date on this, but you will have to use the PC to create the 3D images. The next model of this 3D frame will have built-in processing, and discussion is already going on about two of these frames being able to send images to each other.
