PCMag has done an indepth review of the Nikon Coolpix L4 , an affordable point and shoot camera. The website recommends the camera to the casual shooters because of its high user friendly menu, 2-inch LCD screen, fifteen screen modes, uncomplicated controls and the D-Lighting feature. The only drawbacks found on the digicam were, the absence of a viewfiner, shuuter lag and the small 16MB of memory.

The Coolpix L4 has a 4 MP image sensor with a 2 inch LCD for bright and easy viewing. The 3xzoom lens is made of pro-quality ED glass and offers a focal range of 36-126mm (35mm equivalent). This camera also sports the Nikon Exclusive Feature System which includes In-Camera Red-Eye Fix for red eye correction, Face-Priority AF; D-Lighting which adds light and details, Blur Warning and Best Shot Selector (BSS) automatically identifies and saves the sharpest shot from ten sequential shots. The Nikon L4 has four modes with Scene Assist which includes Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Night Portrait and upto 11 Scene Modes like Party/Indoor, Beach/Snow, Sunset, Dusk/Dawn, Night Landscape, Close Up, Museum, Fireworks Show, Copy, Back Light, and Panorama Assist.
