The W Phonewatch–All Things To All People

Part camcorder, part watch, part touchscreen smartphone, it’s the W Phonewatch from Kempler and Strauss.

It’s actually hard to believe how many functions this thing has incorporated into such a tiny, wrist-mounted package, but I assure you, they’re all there.  Not only do we have the ones I’ve listed above, but a more complete list of this device’s functions includes a stereo MP3 player, game capability, Bluetooth capability, and it even includes a micro SD slot.

Looking at that patently monstrous list of functions leaves me shaking my head somewhat.  I mean, come on–how can a device that does all these things and yet is small enough to fit comfortably on your wrist actually do them effectively?  Oh, sure, I haven’t actually had my hands on one of these to know, but one thing’s clear enough–it at least claims to to just about anything you could want.  But will it do any of them anything approaching well?  Who knows?

The W Phonewatch isn’t even all that pricey, weighing in at just under two hundred bucks.
