Canon seems ready for 2009 when it comes to cheap camcorders. But the company has decided to cut its MiniDV lineup for 2009. The only survivor left is the Canon ZR960 model which is really similar to the ZR900 you might remember from 2008. The camcorder will come with the 680,000 pixel sensor and the 41x Advanced Zoom lens we’ve seen in the FS200 earlier on. Besides that you’ll find the same chipset as the ZR900 but it will come with a new LCD-based Quick Start options and support for 30.5 mm filters. Interested MiniDV? The ZR960 is your chance from Canon to get one. As always we only need the price and that shipping date.
