Thief Breaks Into News Van, Caught On Live News Feed
Out in Sacramento, one of the dumbest or just plain old unluckiest thieves ever got himself caught on a live news camera when he broke into the back of a news van in a bid to steal the likely easily pawnable goodies contained inside.
The news van was unmarked, so chances are this was just one of those interesting news broadcast sting operations set up in hopes of catching a thief live in the act for the six o’clock news, and it was parked outside a Best Buy, lending further credence to the theory.
Police spokesfolk declared that this is the time of year when people need to keep their doors and windows locked and all their Christmas shopping loot hidden out of sight, so thieves don’t get in mind that you’re an easy target. After all, it’s vastly harder to break into a trunk in broad daylight in a crowded parking lot than it is to smash a window into the front seat in the middle of nowhere.
So stay safe, shop well, and have a happy, theft-free holiday season, no matter which one you celebrate.
