Toshiba and Panasonic Debut Extremely Fast SDHC UHS-I Memory Cards



While having a capable camera is obviously the most important part of a photographers collection, such devices are useless if you don’t have anywhere to store your photographs. Sure, many cameras feature built-in storage but one of the most effective ways of saving your pictures is on a memory card.

Toshiba and Panasonic have just taken center stage today to announce their extremely fast SDHC UHS-I memory cards. These zippy cards have a maximum read speed of 95MB per second while writing at 80MB per second – now that’s fast!

The two companies say they willd ebut the cards in 8GB and 16GB this November with a 32GB version coming at a later date. No word on pricing, but don’t expect them to be cheap.
