Remember that whole discussion we had not so long ago about how you could turn any old ordinary webcam into a security camera with just your laptop and a wireless connection?  Well, now you can turn your iPhone into a security camera too thanks to the IP Camera program.  It works pretty simply, too–all you have to do is make sure your phone’s on and transmitting, then install this $1.99 tool, write down the web address it gives you for where the pictures will be stored, and it does the rest, taking a picture every twelve to fifteen seconds, giving you the equivalent of four to five FPM video.

On your iPhone.

Basically, thanks to this, absolutely anyone can set up a security camera anywhere, and you’ll never know the difference because it doesn’t just LOOK like someone’s iPhone, it IS someone’s iPhone.  Downright insidious, says I, but still plenty cool.
