Xerox DocuMate 700 Scanner with Built-in Hub

There are times when the need to scan or photocopy large sized documents can be a problem but thanks to Xerox, this new offering can probably cover that area. Xerox Corporation today announced the Xerox DocuMate 700, an 11” x 17” flatbed scanner with a built-in USB hub. The hub enables the DocuMate 700 to be connected directly to a PC and used as a stand-alone flatbed scanner or it can be connected through its USB port to an existing ADF (automatic document fed) scanner for added functionality.

The Xerox DocuMate 700 has a generous flatbed that enables users to scan large documents up to A3 (11 x 17”) size. It offers users the option to scan a wide variety of documents, such as books, magazines, plastic cards and fragile paper.

Powered by Visioneer OneTouch technology, the scanner allows users to scan to the “destination” of their choice by pressing a single button, eliminating multiple steps usually required to save scanned documents in popular file formats. The DocuMate 700 can scan documents to 9 preset, yet completely configurable, destinations. The scanner includes Kofax VRS, Nuance PaperPort and OmniPage Pro OCR for converting high volumes of paper and forms into files that can be searched and edited.

The Xerox DocuMate 700 scanner is priced at $995 and is available immediately through online channel partners and major resellers.
