Xtend-A-View Viewfinders Give You Extra Edge In The Other Direction

We all know about what can come of extending the length of your lenses.  Thus, many of us have multiple lenses for different distances, including some really huge long-distance telephotos if we still favor the film camera.  But have you ever considered extending your viewfinder?  Does your camera even HAVE a viewfinder?  Or does it only have an LCD screen, that could be obstructed by outdoor glare?

That’s what the Xtend-A-View Viewfinder does.  Basically, it’s a small magnifier and hood for your LCD screen so that you can see in even when it’s obstructed.  They come in three sizes: small, normal variable, and wide variable, so that you can be reasonably assured of getting the shot you want.  They say it’s like looking at your LCD screen through a lightbox that amplifies the light from the screen, giving you a better and more magnified look.

They’re between thirty four and thirty seven bucks each, depending on the size you want.
